Here we are in the middle of January and the nights are just beginning to draw out. I do hope this Newsletter finds you all well. It has been really lovely to see so many of you on-line recently and here’s hoping that we can begin to start thinking about getting together in person as the year rolls on.
We’ve just received notification from NFWI about the revised date for the Annual meeting at the Royal Albert hall on June 8th. Numbers are seriously restricted for obvious reasons, but I think this is a welcome indicator that we may be ‘getting back to normal’ gradually. All the details will be with your WI Secretaries and I am sure they will be in touch about it soon.
We still have a few spaces for the Zoom talks by author Joanna Toye on Thursday 21st January and Actor Sarah Moyles on Wednesday 27th January. If you have ever fancied trying Tai Chi then you can do so in the comfort of your own home when Julia Mitchell runs her four week course for us on Zoom, starting on 28th January.
Do contact Kathy on if you would like to book on any of these events!
Don’t forget to get your entries for the ‘Lockdown Highs and Lows’ Competition in by 12 noon this Thursday to Sarah on . They will all be loaded onto the website and should make for a very interesting read. Talking of the website, we welcome Book Reviews and recipes as it’s great to share the very best ideas with fellow members. Send them in to Sarah as before please.
I am looking forward to talking to Presidents and Treasurers from every WI right across the Federation over the next fortnight- it may be on Zoom but its always lovely to see friendly and familiar faces!
Have a good week, ladies and I do hope to see you soon
