Sad to hear this…
Denman College has now been sold. I am very sorry but the pandemic made it inevitable. Well done to the NFWI Trustees for carrying out this difficult and not always popular task.
Here’s my own personal favourite picture from Denman.

Some great ideas coming up!
We have decided to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee at the Annual Federation Meeting by holding a special competition for the Lane Cup. Will you be making the “Cakes fit for a Queen” for your WI?
Monday 25th April
That will teach me to go on holiday.
Came down with Covid over the weekend!

Digital Mailing Day today…
I just love the third Thursday of every month. We get the mailing onto the website for the individual WI officers to down load ready for their meetings. Its always a bit of a job to get everything in the right place, but I think we managed it! Phew!
Tuesday 19th April
What a brilliant few days…
We visited Floriade, Amsterdam and Keuenhof Gardens, travelling in fine style – all organised by a well known local Coach Company. Even had a free Easter Egg on Sunday!
Meanwhile back to reality, spent all day today at the Office preparing and parcelling up the postal mailing. My great thanks to Sue M, Sue P, Julia, Christine and Heather for all their hard work today!
Wednesday 13th April
Running around like a fool today…
Ray and I are off to Holland for a few days over Easter so I just needed to get a few things organised first… I cannot believe how much paperwork gets done in the course of a week!
Tuesday 12th April
Board Meeting on Zoom…
We planned to have the meeting on Zoom so that those of us who were off to do the Easter Flower Arranging could get there in plenty of time to set up for the afternoon. Best laid plans! Unfortunately the demonstrator came down with Covid so it was cancelled at the last minute! Still Board went ahead and we started finalising the Annual Meeting on 5th July as well as sorting a lot of events for later in the year.
Monday 11th April
Not my finest hour…
Julia and I spent a couple of fruitless hours at Federation House today trying to download the new postal rates to the Office franking machine. After a lot of bad (internal obviously) language we decided it would probably be quicker to queue up at the Post office with the mailing parcels for CNS next week!
On a brighter note I had a lovely evening with members of Kingsbury WI celebrating their birthday!
