Another week has just flown by, hasn’t it?
We have all been busy at Federation level as we are beginning to think about how we might make things safe for when we re-open in September. We are following the current guidance as a starting point and I guess it will change in the interim but at least we have a plan!
We know that some WIs are doing a similar exercise and, of course, some halls have issued guidance and some haven’t yet. There will also be guidance from NFWI to help you all. The main thing to remember is that we are all part of a wonderful organisation whether we can meet in person or in other ways. It has been heartening to see so many of you on-line and to receive letters and phone calls which enable us all to feel that we are still in touch! Isn’t it great to see what WIs are doing right across the country by reading our copy of WI Life as soon as it hits our doormats?
I do hope that you have started thinking about your entries for our Virtual Show in August – even if you aren’t on-line yourself then I am pretty sure that someone in your family or in your WI would be only to happy to submit a photo of your entries for you. We are hoping for a real bumper crop of entries from right across the county- and the great advantage is that you don’t have to drive a long way to put them in!
We have been delighted to see so many of you on ZOOM, taking part in our on-line events. I’m delighted to say that we are going to continue to provide these weekly opportunities for you to take part in a diverse range of activities- we are trying to find something for everyone! Don’t forget that Denman is also providing a fantastic range of Denman at Home events. Well worth a look!
I do hope that you are beginning to get out and about as the Lockdown continues to ease.
Take care and stay safe. Looking forward to seeing you soon,
