My Mum always used to start her letters to all her friends and relations with
“I hope this letter finds you and yours well, as it leaves me and mine, we are all well.”
So I do hope that this letter finds you well.
It’s been an interesting week at Federation level as we have been debating the best ways to help your WIs to resume their meetings in the autumn, when and if they wish to do so. NFWI have issued some very helpful guidance, which has already been distributed to your Presidents and Officers. There is lots to think about and I’m sure they will be in touch with you about this as time goes on.
We are hoping to re-open the Federation Office from 1st September and your Trustees are busy compiling Risk Assessments to ensure that we can do so safely … for visitors and staff. More news on this in due course.
Our events on ZOOM are going very well and it has been great to see so many of you joining in!

Thank you all for your wonderful entries for the Get Creative and Fill a Vase Competition. The range and quality of entries was very high and certainly gave the Judge, Trustee Veronica Chapman, a headache!! After much deliberation the results are:
1st – Tam Reuter – Warton WI
2nd – Sue Steel – Norton Lindsey WI
3rd – Maggie Bence – Southam WI
There were also four entries which were highly commended
Beryl Hessey – Cawston Grange WI, Jose Royle – Hillmorton Paddox, Jo Hope – Wellesbourne WI and Moira Race – The Revel WI
I can’t wait to see all your entries for our Virtual Show and boy, oh boy, am I glad I am not expected to act as a Judge!
I do hope you are finding these weekly updates useful and I look forward to better days when we can all meet in person.
With all good wishes
