Dear Friends,

How quickly the weeks are passing. I hope that you are all keeping well . It’s getting harder to be apart but we are all doing our best to stay together. I know that an increasing number of you are now on-line but we must be careful not to forget those who aren’t. I do hope that you are keeping in touch by phone and letters, I have received several letters from WI members in the last week which has proved a real tonic.

I have been very proud to see the immense amount of good work being done by our members to support the NHS and other vital services. Warwickshire WIs have made huge numbers of scrubs, aprons, wash bags and more. Brilliant! Well done also to those of you who have taken up the Federation 2.6 Challenge. Don’t forget to let Sarah know so that we can feature your WI on social media and the website.

The Doorstep Photograph Competition has been very popular with over a hundred entries. You can see them all displayed on the Gallery.
This weekend David Clarke, photographer extraordinaire has had his work cut out to decide the winner! Well done to Jill Licence of Shipston on Stour WI and thank you David for all your help!

Sarah tells me she is awaiting an influx of photos on the subject of Federation Fitness so do please forward your pictures to her on

Look out also for our new feature ‘60 Seconds in Lockdown with…..’

Your Trustees and Sub-Committees have been working hard to develop an interesting and exciting programme for later in the year and we are all looking forward to being able to see you all in person. Full details should be available by the end of May. Julia is also eagerly awaiting your articles on Life In Lockdown ready for the next issue of Corunna News!
It has been great to see so many members on- line over the last couple of weeks I have really enjoyed been part of your meetings even though it is all virtual!

Best wishes
