Our June meeting was held at the Football Club and although it wasn’t the celebration of our 90th anniversary which we held there last year, the enjoyment was even greater as we
hadn’t met all together since last September! We had over 30 attending and we also welcomed our new member Marion.
The sun shone and it was just right for us to sit outside. Sandi did a splendid job sourcing and running the competitions and her version of Would I Lie To You, which was called
“Who’s Telling Porkies”, was hilarious with everyone taking part. The delicious individual picnic bags were provided by Mr Chef Catering and we had fantastic service from Becky
who was on her feet constantly taking orders and serving drinks to each table. Thanks go to everyone who was involved in organising the party.

We have just restarted our weekly craft group and have 12 attending and we intend to paint slate pieces this week with flowers and messages.

Our thoughts now turn to our July meeting which is to be held on the first Monday in July.
We don’t have a formal agenda for the meeting due to recent circumstances but we have a lot of catching up to do despite the last year’s social and craft zoom meetings.

We will also be taking part in Stockton Beer Festival and Scarecrow Trail with our scarecrow and possibly a cake stall.
There will be no meeting as usual in August but we have ideas in the pipeline for a couple of trips out, possibly an afternoon tea and another outing.

Everyone at Stockton is looking forward to getting back together this summer!
