Trips / Workshops / Lunches etc – members should book all other events through the WI Secretary, you tell her that you would like a ticket for the event or trip and pay her the correct fee. She will collate all of the orders, complete the necessary forms and order the tickets from Federation House for you. We are sorry but at the moment we are unable to process ticket requests from individual members.

Chair Public Affairs Sub Committee

I joined my local WI about 28 years ago, after my son had started school and I began working with my husband in his firm of family funeral directors. I wanted to make new friends and experience new things so thought this was the way to do it.

I have been on the committee many times serving as Treasurer and President.

I have been a Trustee for 12 years and during that time have played many varied roles including CNS Editor, calendar co-ordinator, bulb scheme organiser, head of sales team, chair of Public Affairs and Home & Leisure and now Press & Publicity Officer and Denman Ambassador.

All these roles have taught me something; I am now a more knowledgeable, patient, understanding person, with the confidence to stand up and speak in front of hundreds of people. What a lot the WI has given me!!

I am thrilled to be a Vice Chair for the Federation and I look forward to meeting as many members as possible during the year ahead.
