Denman Ambassador
WI Advisor
Vice Chair of Membership & Promotions Committee
Digital Strategy Member

I have been a member of The WI for 20 years. I was very involved with Young Farmers, being Warwickshire County Chairman in 1991/2, I missed the friendship and competitions, so my Mum paid my first subscription to The WI! Needless to say I have never looked back!

I belong to The Revel WI, in Monks Kirby, which is a relatively new WI. I was a member at Wolvey and Burton Hastings WI until I moved and wanted to meet people in the place I lived.
I joined The Membership and promotions Committee in 2009 and trained as a WI Adviser, qualifying in 2011.

I really enjoy being an adviser, watching people grow and develop. I joined the Warwickshire Creative Activities committee, helping put on workshops to encourage learning. I have served three years on the NFWI Craft committee, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

My second home is Denman! Not only do I love spending time there learning but I am also a host and guide too!

I married Rob in 2016, having known him for 30 years, and became a Postlethwaite- but am staying as an Ensor because spelling Postlethwaite let alone saying is taking some getting used to. I run my own business, having three children’s day nurseries looking after over 100 children. I employ 45 people to help with all this! We also have a family farming business, and I am very apt at making harvest teas!
