Corks from wine bottles …
If, somehow, you find yourself with a collection of wine bottle corks why not use them as drainage in the bottom of plant pots and tubs? They’re very light so don’t add much to the weight of the pot. Most of them are a natural product so will eventually bio degrade without adding horrid plastic to the earth.

Another good use for them is on the top of thin garden canes, this makes the canes more visible to stop you poking your eye if you bend over them, bore a hole in the end to push them onto the cane.

Thank you to Vice Chair to Julia Baker for this top tip !
