Inexpensive rapeseed oil.
I love this tip which I heard on the radio a few years ago….
Rapeseed oil is very low in cholesterol so, a good thing to make salad dressings or to fry with. It is expensive though, especially the virgin and first pressing oils.
However, there is an alternative. Several supermarkets sell rapeseed oil under the general title of ‘vegetable oil’. Have a look, it’s half the price – or less – than the specifically labelled rapeseed oil.
Just read the product label. It’s fine unless you like your rapeseed like your whisky – single malt, no blends!
