COP 26 is the annual UN Climate change conference to be held this year in the UK – from 1st -12th November in Glasgow.

HOW ARE WE INVOLVED?

The NFWI are part of a Climate Coalition and are already supporting the Glasgow Action Plan. In addition the NFWI will be using our platform to stand shoulder to shoulder with women and girls across the world, and will be calling on the UK Government to deliver a COP 26 that provides a fair deal for women and girls everywhere in the fight against climate change. In particular the experiences of women and marginalised voices in the design and implementation of climate policies.

Many of these communities are already on the frontlines of climate change and desperately need help.
We urge the UK Government as host to encourage other nations to raise their own climate ambitions and targets. Plus listen to and provide platforms for all women’s voices to be heard ahead of, and during COP 26
