Outings & Events

Every outing or event featured here are advertised through Flyers which are sent to the WIs in our monthly mailings. You can also download the current ones from this site by clicking on the appropriate events in the listings.

Bookings are made through your WI Secretary, you tell her that you would like a ticket for the event or trip and pay her the correct fee. She will collate all of the orders, complete the necessary forms and order the tickets from Federation House for you. We are sorry but at the moment we are unable to process ticket requests from individual members.

Sometimes events and visits are open to guests. However, our 4000+ Warwickshire WI members will always be our priority.

Our tutor Eirian has many years of experience with this type of patchwork, which is now enjoying a revival. Specialist speakers will provide expert briefings at this meeting on the final resolution(s) for 2020, which will be announced by NFWI in February. The 17th century Alcester Town Hall, with its magnificent hammer-beam ceiling is the venue for our VE Day Celebration. We will be entertained by Kitten Von Mew, a leading 1940s entertainer and model, who has appeared in many national newspapers, television programmes and films. Gin Lane

Outdoor Summer Evening Concert

Enjoy a relaxed evening listening to a variety of music from talented musicians. Classical, Pop and in between, something for everyone. Beginners Abstract Machine Embroidery

Afternoon Tea & Mallory Court

We will start with a guided tour round Mallory Court's beautiful vegetable garden, before enjoying a lovely afternoon tea and listening to Jenny Brewer, a judge for Britain in Bloom which is the largest community participation competition in the country run by the Royal Horticultural Society. Jenny will talk us through the highs and lows of being a Bloom judge particularly focusing on Its Your Neighbourhood category.    

Flower Workshop
