Outings & Events

Every outing or event featured here are advertised through Flyers which are sent to the WIs in our monthly mailings. You can also download the current ones from this site by clicking on the appropriate events in the listings.

Bookings are made through your WI Secretary, you tell her that you would like a ticket for the event or trip and pay her the correct fee. She will collate all of the orders, complete the necessary forms and order the tickets from Federation House for you. We are sorry but at the moment we are unable to process ticket requests from individual members.

Sometimes events and visits are open to guests. However, our 4000+ Warwickshire WI members will always be our priority.

Flower Workshop

September 12 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

This workshop is suitable for both novice and experienced ladies as our tutor Jane Fox is a very experienced NAFAS area demonstrator. She will demonstrate and guide us through the session so that all participants will go home with a lovely arrangement.

Dragon Boat Racing – FULLY BOOKED

September 16 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

If you enjoyed the canoe/kayak session then this Dragon Boat Racing taster could be for you. Come to try this ancient Chinese team water sport under the dramatic towers of Warwick Castle.


September 19 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

Grab your Stetson and boots, or a comfortable pair of shoes, and shimmy along to participate in this morning of line dancing. Suitable for experienced and novice dancers alike as we will be led by Julie through the dances, who has taught extensively at home and abroad including America.  Fun morning guaranteed.

Nordic Walking Taster Session FULLY BOOKED

Nordic Walking is a method of improving cardiovascular health, maintaining muscle strength and bone health.  Try this “walking with a difference” to see if your confidence, posture, flexibility and balance might be improved by this form of exercise. Oh and have fun too!

This lovely event is now open to non members - Closing date 22nd August Come to see and buy some exciting fashions presented by ‘Foxyladies’ aka Sandra Jones, personal dresser. Autumn fashions will be the theme of Sandra’s clothes modelled by ‘real’ women! Bring your purse for some post show retail therapy. Credit cards accepted!

Ros Trophy – Speaking Competition

The Ros Trophy is a WFWI speaking competition held every other year. This year we are celebrating the vast library of AGATHA CHRISTIE. Competitors - please prepare a 3 minute piece from any of her books. Audience – come along and support those competing. Competitors and audience alike will be treated to what is always a fabulous and inventive tea, this year with a ‘mystery’ theme!

Queen Victoria – A Life in Portraits TICKETS AVAILABLE

From daughter to empress, by way of wife, mother and dog-owner, her ever-changing role on Britain’s stage was carefully captured and controlled for both public and private consumption. Taiko Drums – Have A Go! FULLY BOOKED

Taiko drumming is enjoyed by all ages and abilities. It's scientifically proven to be good for physical and mental wellbeing - and above all its fun. Val Tate, the tutor, is the director of Taiko Oxford and has been playing since 2000, she trains and performs with Tamashi Daiko.
