Treasures of China

October 4, 2018 @ 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Thursday 4th October
We will meet our Blue Badge guide at The Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight at 10.30am in time to buy coffee and biscuits. After coffee we will split into two groups – one to enjoy a guided tour of the Chinese rooms at the Gallery whilst the other will explore the Pre-Raphaelite collection and the world’s finest collection of Wedgwood Jasperware on their own. Once the groups have both done the two activities we will tour the garden village of Port Sunlight together before stopping at Albert Dock on the Liverpool Waterfront to buy lunch.
After lunch we will visit the World Museum for the unmissable exhibition of THE TERRACOTTA WARRIORS. For over 2000 years an underground army of life sized terracotta warriors secretly guarded the tomb of China’s First Emperor until they were found by chance!
The day finishes with a chance to buy a cup of tea before we make tracks for Warwickshire at 4.30pm
