Zoom – Power of Attorney Advice
July 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm£5
In simple terms a power of attorney is a legally binding document that allows you to nominate people to make decisions on your behalf if you feel you no longer have the capacity to do so yourself. It is beneficial to do this before an individual becomes incapacitated but, where this has not been possible, there are a number of things to consider.
Tracy Ashby, Head of the Private Client team at law firm Wright Hassall, will discuss the various options around Powers of Attorney as well as their benefits and uses and the key things to consider when making or using one. The session will also cover what happens if you need to act on someone’s behalf, for financial affairs and/or welfare and they don’t have an EPA/LPA in place. In addition, Tracy will also outline who and how to pay for care of a loved one, and will offer some practical advice on arrangements for elderly relatives
If you would like to attend this on-line event then email Sarah … your Name / your WI / your Email Address to by 12noon on Thursday 9th July.
Payment should be made by BACs and Sarah will give you details to do this.
