This week, we had a surprise email from Cape Town, South Africa.
A lovely lady had found a piece of framed embroidery with a Warwickshire Federation judging label on the back in a charity shop in Cape Town. The label reads, WF Wade, Honiley.

Frankie wrote ‘I’m English born in London and came here in early 70’s and have only been back once (I’m a young 71yrs). I have just started painting as a hobby and when I saw this beaut whilst helping out in our local charity shop, I just couldn’t resist rescuing it. Rather damaged on the black backing but the embroidery is stunning still. I think I’ll have to frame it as it is whole into a deep frame. Enjoy this bit of your history’.

Thank you Frankie for taking the time to contact us. If anyone knows anything more about this member or the piece, then do please let us know.
