Farm Fest and The WI
Warwickshire WI, with the help of some neighbouring Federations, will be at Farm Fest which is being held at Stoneleigh Park on 22nd to 24th May 2026 to promote The WI.
We have been asked to run some competitions – it’s quite short notice so we have kept things simple. The idea is that everything is Farm themed. The judges will be one of the stars from a popular farming show, featuring Jeremy Clarkson!
The classes we propose are
- A Farm themed cushion – any material
- Farm themed bunting – any material
- A crocheted or knitted Farm themed item
- A flower arrangement in wellies
- A Character Scarecrow – based on the celebrity guests
All Classes will be judged by one of the celebrity guests at Farm Fest 2026.
Entry forms are below. There is no entry fee, but we do need to know how many entries we will have to ensure we have space. Classes 1,2 & 3 should be at the Federation office on or before Wednesday 20th May. The scarecrow and Flower arrangements should be taken to the show ground on Thursday 21st May (details of where and when will be supplied to entrants nearer the time)
We will be selling some homemade items suitable for Festival goers – so if your craft group has some ideas and can donate some items, please contact me with the ideas before you start making them.
The plan is to run some workshops for children and adults during the day, some of the children’s results will be judged by a star of the show.
We will need some help with all of this and have a limited number of tickets available so if you can spare a day to help promote The WI and run the workshops, please let us know as soon as possible. It will be first come first served due to the limited tickets available.
