On Friday we had an interesting evening listening to Lesley Smith telling us the story of Peggy Knight. Peggy (Marguerite Diana Frances Knight) was a member of the Women’s Transport Service and in 1944 served with the Special Operations Executive (SOE) during WW2. With the code name Nicole, she worked as a courier for the Donkeyman network in France.
