| It’s a busy time for us WI members!
Not only have we some really exciting things planned for you all at Federation (The Treasure Hunt, our Grand Day Out and two excellent speakers – Sunny Ormonde and Tracy Borman – to name a few) coming up, but it is time to discuss our resolution! This year it is all about clean water. Please have a look at the information NFWI have put together on MyWI about this resolution. You know that as a powerful voice, The WI can really make a difference. Your vote needs to be with your delegate before the NFWI meeting on May 26th and your Secretary has all the information.
I have had a very busy month, meeting with some more Presidents, helping to promote The WI at Sewing for Pleasure at the NEC. I also represented Warwickshire at our neighbouring federations Leicestershire & Rutland WI’s and Gloucestershire WI’s Annual Meetings.
I have also managed to do some of the Denman at Home courses – to make things for the NEC of course you understand! There is a real variety of things there, and you don’t have to watch it live! Take a look at Denman at Home and let us know what you have done and enjoyed.
Preparations are well underway for our own Federation meeting in July. We are at the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington for an evening meeting – so why not make a day of it and have lunch beforehand. Keep your eye on the Warwickshire WI website for any offers we may be able to source for you.
Please let us know how you are celebrating the Coronation; I hope you are all having a giggle doing your Coronation Curtsy and are helping plan you Post box topper. We are looking forward to seeing them around the Federation!
