A Brief History of Feltmaking: 6,000 years of interlocking stories
A fascinating insight to an ancient and worldwide craft. I take you from the frozen tombs of Siberia to central Asia
and back to how feltmaking has developed into a contemporary craft in the Western world. I also show briefly
how the science of wet felting works by a short demonstration. I can also provide a separate ‘hands on’ workshop
on another date for those who wish to try the craft themselves.
I bring samples of my own work and there is 10% back to the host WI.
