Details on Talk(s) Offered
I offer 12 talks in total, including Dog Eat Dog, the life of an investigative news journalist (I was once one of these beasts); eight about the Civil War period (I recommend Female Spies, 14 Days: the story of the Siege of Leicester and the Battle of Naseby, and Femme Fatale: the life of Lady Lucy Hutchinson), as well a series I call Faithful and Fearless – talks about historical figures like George Fox (founder of the Quakers) and Thomas Babington (slavery abolitionist and close associate of William Wilberforce). Wherever possible, I ensure the talks I offer have a strong connection to Warwickshire.
