Mature Drivers Workshop for residents of Warwickshire by Rosalie and Sharon

An informal chat about driving as we age, with hints, tips and information – even some reminders – of things to bear in mind when we drive. We realise what independence driving brings and want to support drivers continuing to drive safely as they age. There are no eye tests or medicals but hopefully some information you didn’t already know, support and a few after-care products.

Warwickshire County Council and Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership has a strategy to try to reduce collisions in Warwickshire by 50% by 2030 and one of the road user groups we are approaching is mature drivers.

In addition to this workshop, drivers may also take up the offer of a free Mature Driver Review (worth £85) through our provider, IAM, in their own car, on local roads. From November 2024 until November 2025, participants in these Mature Driver Reviews also have the opportunity to take part in an exciting evaluation project to standardise Mature Driver Reviews across the UK.
